Dynalene is a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of high-performance heat transfer fluids. As a U.S.-based specialty manufacturer, we also provide advanced fluid cleaning equipment and comprehensive laboratory services. We help engineers solve complex thermal challenges that define modern technology. Our fluids and equipment are engineered to meet the most demanding specifications across numerous industries, including Electric Vehicle & Battery Cooling, Fuel Cell Systems, Data Center & AI Cooling, Power Electronics, Low- and High-Temperature Industrial Processes, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Food and Beverage Processes, and HVAC Applications.
With over 30 years of research and development, Dynalene has commercialized over 50 fluid formulations spanning -170°F to 662°F (-112°C to 350°C), as well as over 40 products in ion exchange, desiccation, and filtration equipment.
We have also secured multiple competitive research grants from the U.S. Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, and the National Science Foundation. Dynalene actively participates in innovation ecosystems alongside major U.S. national laboratories and universities.
Dynalene is ISO 9001 certified and operates manufacturing and laboratory facilities in Whitehall, PA, Chicago, IL, and Salt Lake City, UT.

Our History
1992
The Inspiration
Sought non-toxic, eco-friendly alternatives to carcinogenic HTFs (methylene chloride, TCE) being phased out under EPA regulations.
1993-95
The Foundation
Ben Franklin grants funded a Lehigh University collaboration producing bio-based fluids down to -200°F — named Dynalene LT.
1996
First Commercialization
Research yielded several patents and the commercial launch of the first Dynalene-branded products: Dynalene MV and HF.
1997
A Dedicated Company
Advanced Fluid Technologies (AFT) was incorporated to accelerate development and commercialization of specialized heat transfer fluids.
1998
Rapid Portfolio Expansion
AFT expanded to over eight Dynalene-branded fluids covering extreme temperatures from -112°C (-170°F) to 350°C (662°F).
1998-05
Continuous Innovation
The portfolio grew to over 40 fluids, including custom formulations for electronics, fuel cells, wineries, and wind tunnels.
2005
Becoming Dynalene
Advanced Fluid Technologies Inc. officially renamed itself Dynalene Inc. to reflect its flagship brand's market presence.
2008
Laboratory Services BU
Launched analytical testing covering thermal/physical, chemical, and materials & corrosion categories to support fluid qualification and health monitoring.
2009-10
Industry Recognition
Dynalene was listed by Inc. magazine among the fastest-growing U.S. companies in both 2009 and 2010.
2013
Chicago Facility
A new manufacturing facility opened in the Chicago area to improve logistics and better serve Midwest and national clients.
2015
Salt Lake City Facility
A third facility opened in Salt Lake City, UT, to extend Dynalene's reach across the western U.S.
2016
Fluid Cleaning Equipment BU
Launched ion exchange, filtration, and desiccation systems — the first matched fluid-plus-cleaning-system from a single manufacturer.
2019
Chicago Facility Expansion
Expanded capacity to meet growing demand from industrial, EV, and data center customers across North America.

Entrepreneurial Award
Dynalene received the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award from Ben Franklin Technology Partners.

Data Center Product Launch

Heat Transfer Fluids
Dynalene develops, manufactures and distributes industrial heat transfer fluids and coolants such as glycols, which include propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, BioGlycol, solar glycol, Geoglycol as well as other fluids including potassium formate, calcium chloride, hydrocarbon and silicone chemistries.
Fluid Cleaning Equipment
Dynalene offers comprehensive filtration, ion exchange and desiccation solutions that are compatible with all of our fluids. Our product line includes standard and custom design equipment that can be tailored to your needs.
Laboratory Services
Dynalene Laboratory Services offers a wide range of analytical testing designed to meet our client's needs. Our laboratory capabilities encompass three main categories: Thermal/Physical, Chemical and Materials and Corrosion testing.
